[Background]
FEAR Wiki
The short story: Paxton was conceived by a girl named Alma, was raised in a laboratory, experimented on, drugged, etc. and molded into a Psychic Commander. Meaning he could telepathically control clone soldiers. But, his mama wouldn't have that and linked with him psychically and it made him go kinda apeshit and he turned homicidal and became bent on killing the scientists and everyone who did this to him and his mother.

[Personality]
Paxton has above average intelligence, is very arrogant, and mentally unstable. He's psychotic, murderous, and occasionally cannibalistic. This is all largely due to his traumatic childhood: growing up in a research facility locked in a room with another boy he later discovers is his brother. Paxton was experimented on and drugged regularly, causing him physical trauma but mostly mental trauma. The scientists, lead by his own father, develop his powerful psionic abilities in unending and cruel experiments. When he's 10 he has a mental connection with his mother who was similarly treated her entire childhood and into adulthood. This Synchronicity Event, as it's called, bonds Paxton with his mother very closely and she is absolutely the most important person in the world to him.

However... at this point Paxton turns violent and homicidal. In a matter of seconds he kills a half dozen soldiers using only his psionic ability. After this point, Paxton calms but he is very paranoid from there on out and develops an even stronger hatred for his father and indeed for anything that reminds him of his father or what the researchers did. Later after another Synchronicity Event he goes completely psychotic, he goes renegade, and starts a campaign of murder to gain revenge on the scientists and company that did this to him, his brother, and their mother. Paxton is very driven by the desire of family and he holds that his own family is far superior (god-like even) compared to everyone else. However, he's so arrogant and ambitious that he is not above using either his brother or mother for his own strengthening.

One of his most obvious personality quirks is his tendency to seemingly love the sound of his own voice. He talks a lot, almost philosophically at times, at other times bordering on poetic in his speech. Paxton's personality is quite cynical but also realistic, he's not afraid of speaking his mind, and seems to actually enjoy pointing out the blunt truth of a situation as he sees it. He believes his view on any given situation is the absolute truth and reality of that situation and would have to be very dedicated to someone to consider keeping that truth to himself or changing his mind. If he did become close to someone he would be very possessive and protective of him (such as we see him toward his brother).

It's worth mentioning that in the first game, Paxton is killed by his brother. He later possesses a body that he uses for a time but Paxton is dead, a spirit, which can manifest itself physically to the point where he takes damage from bullets/blows and can be hurt.

As for how he acts around random average people, he'll be largely dismissive unless he finds them interesting. Paxton seems to enjoy freaking people out, to put it simply, and if he takes an interest in you he will probably haunt you. It will be largely harmless but sometimes not, as he would not really mind taking things too far just for the thrill of scaring someone. A lot of this is psychological in a way, he would enjoy finding out what people fear, what their ambitions are, what makes them tick, and so on.

[Specialties/Abilities]
Paxton is a powerful Psionic, this includes the following abilities:

Telepathy - He can cause hallucinations in others seemingly at will, and speak directly to them without needing to be physically present.

Summon Nightmares - Paxton has the ability to cause hallucinations, often in the form of weak/powerless but fearsome creatures or shadows of himself.

Telekinesis - Levitates certain objects nearby and/or at the absence of the user's presence. Paxton uses this ability to lift enemies and suspend them in midair. If he casts it on an ally, it will create a shield of protection against enemy fire. In F.E.A.R., boxes and other objects are shown moving seemingly of their own will, sometimes tumbling off of shelves, likely responding to the presence of Paxton.

Possession - Paxton can enter others and control their bodies for a short span of time. The possession of someone usually leads to the death of the person being possessed.

[Affection] Even though Paxton is a ghost, he's able to be injured in the game, meaning he is physically manifest and can actually be touched and touch others. As far as affection goes, I he'll find it pretty amusing but not really respond much?

[Fighting] As stated above, Paxton can be hurt even though he's a ghost. Fighting is fine, he's pretty weak physically but his powers of telekinesis make him tough to fight unless your character has powers against psionic type attacks.

[Other Permissions] Be as intrusive as you like! All fourth-walling and telepathy welcome.

[Other Facts] He likes trolling.
